You Have To Do More Than Just Want It, How Badly Do You Really Want It : The Christian Daily Devotional - by Alfred
Romans 12:11 NIV
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Many of us have been there, where we know the right thing to do but the will is not there.
Every kid in school knows either consciously or unconsciously that if they read their books, listen to their teachers, and remember all that they read or are taught they would pass every exam.
Yet, how come every student isn't a Straight A student.
Now if you were to ask those students if they'd like to be Straight A students, they'll probably all say Yes.
So they say they want it, they know what they must do to have it, yet they don't all do it. Showing you what they really want.
Your actions speak louder than your words. Your actions reveal your true intent. Your actions reveal your true intent that counts.
How much do you want it? How badly do you want it? Are you willing to pay the price? Just how much are you willing to sacrifice?
This is what separates great professional athletes from good professional athletes, and good professional athletes from average professional athletes, and average professional athletes from athletes who didn't even make it into the pro leagues to begin with.
All those different classes of athletes all wanted it, but who wanted it most is the great professional athlete; he or she sacrificed the most.
In fulfilling God's call on your life. How badly do you want it? How badly do you want to see God's will come to pass in your life?
It's not enough that God says this or that is what I want you to do with your life…. this is what I'm calling you to do.
It's not enough that God has a plan for you. If you want to see God's Plan come to pass in your life; you have to want it … really want it. You have to walk towards it… run towards it … even fly towards it.
Put in your 100%. Put in your best otherwise you won't see God's best.
Declaration:
I declare that I'm passionate to fulfill God's will in my life. I am no more living it all to God to fulfill his will in my life. I know that I have my responsibility and my part to play. God has already done his part; he's defeated the devil, predestined me for greatness, given me the word of God and the power to use the name that's higher than any name in the world. All I have to do is put on the armor of God and go and take the victory mowing down every obstacle, wall or storm that tries to stand in my way. Hallelujah.
