Not Even Heavy Rains Couldn't Stop The Two Million Man March To Support Peter Obi In Port Harcourt, Nigeria : Written Reactions - by Alfred
I have never seen Nigerians so firmly stand behind a candidate in my lifetime like they do for Peter Obi.
It's almost spiritual. You can hardly explain it. You can hardly put your finger on any specific reason or sets of reasons to understand why people feel this way.
I haven't seen this type of reaction to a politician running for President since the first time Barack Obama ran for President of America in 2008.
Peter Obi may not have a tainted political history to the best of my knowledge, but there's nothing in his past history that makes him stand out as extraordinary to match the expectations and loyalty people have for him right now.
Well I can only hope he doesn't disappoint if he wins.
However, I know the answer of Nigeria doesn't lye in any one man; especially a politican.
It is also going to be difficult to give Nigeria the change it needs with the current constitution, legislative system, rich old political godfathers, and external bodies like the WHO, the World Bank, the UN, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, & the WEF telling Nigeria what to do.
