Do Christians Believe In One God Or Three Gods Who Identify As One? : The Christian Daily Devotional - by Alfred
God the Father is God. Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. The same God.
Understand that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one even though they exist independently (they also exist inseparably as one whole; together with the holy spirit).
That's the mystery of the Godhead. Don't try to understand this by using the laws of physics and chemistry that govern matter in this world that we are in.
To understand Truth you have to take what God says by faith. We walk by Faith not by sight.
God wants us not to base our understanding on what we see, rather on what he says.
You can be deceived by what you see, but God would never lie to you.
The reason people struggle to understand it is that you are trying to understand the God who pre-exists everything using the limitations of only one dimension on a planet he created that wouldn't even last forever. For heaven and earth would pass away (meaning the clouds above you surrounding the earth being heaven, and the soil or sand underneath your feet being the earth).
If God says there is only one God, and that same God reveals himself simultaneously and independently as The Father, The Son, & The Holy Ghost. Then that is all we need to know to believe that it is so.
