Occupy Till I Come (a book excerpt from an upcoming free book by Alfred)

 

Luke 19:13 KJV

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

   Jesus told us to occupy till he comes. That means what it means. It means conquer the world of darkness with light till I come. 

   When conquerors of the world conquer, they go forth with force to make men slaves… to make men bow to them. They take all the riches of everyone they encounter & subdue as they go.

   However, in Christianity when we go forth to conquer we are not going forth to enslave men but to set them Free (from the power of darkness; addiction, sickness, lust, fear, death, etc) and translate them into our Kingdom (Colossians 1:13).

   We are not going forth to take what money and resources they have when we encounter them, we are going to make them much more richer and prosperous than they ever thought possible when they encounter the gospel that we preach.

   Some of us who preach the gospel may be counted as poor (by the world's standards of counting who is poor and who isn't), but all of us who preach the true unadulterated & unfiltered word of God are making many rich (2 Corinthians 6:10).

   We are conquerors for righteousness. We are to conquer the world till Jesus comes. We have been given the mandate to occupy till he comes. The responsibility is on us.

   We are to occupy the media, the political offices, they school boards, … everything that can be occupied we should occupy.

   Only the church is the carrier of the light of Christ that lights up the world on the earth today. Any part of the earth we don't occupy we leave in darkness and the devil would use that area of unconquered land to launch a campaign against the church.

   We cannot leave any stone unturned. We cannot leave any land unconquered. We must occupy everything till he comes.
