hello everybody yeah listening to pastors corner i'm your host alfred
on the topic of today's broadcast is what to do if you lost your church due to the prolonged lockdown let me say that again what to do if you lost your church due to the prolonged lockdown let's open our bibles to the book of romans chapter 8 verse 35 to 39 i'm reading from the king james version of the bible i read who shall separate us from the love of christ shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword as it is written for thy sake we are killed all the day long we are counted as sheep for the slaughter knee in all this since we are more than conquerors through him that loved us fear and persuaded that neither deaths nor life no angels no principalities no past no tense presence no chance to come no heist no depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of god which is in christ jesus our lord praise the lord you see that portion of the scripture is so powerful and you could see where paul was you know what he said you know nothing can separate us from the love of god you as a pastor should have that same mindset as a matter of fact every christian should have this mindset keep in mind that it was everyday christians not just those in the five-fold ministry who were persecuted who were killed sauna sundered shown to the lions and suffered all these things all they had to do to avoid it was to say that they no longer believe in jesus but you see they couldn't say that they couldn't deny jesus you know and you have to understand something about christianity you may live in a country where you are not persecuted where there are rights that have been extended to you by the government which makes um persecution towards your difficult bits understand where christianity came from it came from a great deal of persecution of christians it came from the blood and the swiss of a lot of missionaries and a lot of christians who have walked this head before you a lot of their sacrifices are the reason why we are aware of this gospel and their churches left right and center and you know um you are actually a product of their blood and their sweats you are knowing this gospel this there are people who believe that well if god wants something to happen it will happen not so you see when you study the bible you see that god always uses man if man says no to god god is a gentleman god is not going to force anyone's heart if man says no to god what happens people die people suffer apostle paul said that i was not disobedient to the heavenly calling what if he was disobedient guess what all the people that would have been saved and all the people that would have been healed by his ministry all the people that would have been reached would not have been reached the bible would have had much less books you know since um apostle paul wrote so much of the new testament and you know there will be so much revelation that would not have come because keep in mind peter still had his own destiny and he still did what he did you know so for every time that someone says no to god or perhaps he says yes to god but you know you are following god by your own time table and you know you are not 100 committed to giving your all you know perhaps you put only 50 in or you put only 70 and when it comes to the work of the ministry you do not put your own you know the day that god tells you to pray and you do not pray because you are feeling too tired and you sleep and then later someone somewhere dies or some catastrophe happens that perhaps is irreversible it happens it happens keep in mind that you're a christian you will still go to heaven and all that but it was up to you to have stopped that debt it was up to you to pray when the holy spirit told you to get up and pray but you felt too tired perhaps you have held massive crucifix and you have won millions of people and now you are looking at yourself like nobody has reached so much i've i've done so much and then you are starting to slow down the people that would have been reached if you had not slowed down they would die and a lot of them will end up going to hell even though you will go to heaven but you have to understand the mind of christ you know it is not a victory in our eyes for us to go to heaven and for others to go to hell it is not a joy to us it is not something that gives us pleasure because understand that the same love that christ had for the world we should have that same love that love that makes jesus down the cross for the world that is the same love that you flew in us and that is the love that flowed in stephen do you know that if stephen when he was being stoned to death if stephen had prayed to god god would have answered him do you know the kind of miraculous ministry that stephen had before he was made the first no matter of the gospel
you see do you think that god would not have answered his prayers if he had not if he had just decided when he was about to be stolen god send your angel sign sheridan and take care of all these people you know understand that jesus said um something similar he said that don't you think that i could ask my father to send you know hosts of angels and will come and fight you know but you have to understand something about jesus jesus came to die stephen did not come to die you know the prize had already be prayed you know the death of jesus was the whole point of him coming you know his death barrier resurrection you know because that is actually what created christianity you know um without the death burial and resurrection of just if jira just came walk the head before miracles and left nothing would have been done nothing would have changed our sins would not have been taken care of we would not have been reunited with god you know not much you know the world will still be um the world you know the gentiles will still not have any link to god unlike the jews you know so um nothing would have really been done so um the points you know one important thing about um just coming on it was for him to die and for him to resurrect you know because of all that that meant you know but when it comes to stephen you know he could have prayed god take care of did the same thing with paul before he was beheaded you know that is something you have to understand about the path um that christians have but um these men you know they choose to lay their life down you know and they chose not to go the uh route of axing go to send foot angels keep in mind remember poland sailors they prayed and they sank and then the coughs you know the shins around them fell off on its own keep in mind that the bible does not even say that angels did it you know the whole place shook the whole inanimate objects was responding to the power of the creator that was within them as that power was was activated via praise and worship and the anointing was that the the prince of the god was was there the inanimate object that changed the the bounds upon paula silas the prison itself shook the building shook it responded imagine if in that same vein they said god sent angels to kill all these guys or to take care of um all these um guys who are persecuting us imagine what would have happened but no that is not the way of christ we love we forgive you know we love those who are enemies we love those who want to kill us that is something that a lot of people don't um really realize about christianity and the disciples but you know i'm saying all this for you to really get an idea of this flow of persecution of course now we are living in a day where the persecution towards christians is increasing and the lockdown itself was one of the um strategies of satan to attack the church a lot of churches have been closed down um due to lockdown now if you're one of those churches i'm talking to um the pastors of those churches you know you have to understand this you know you are here for the gospel the fact that you have lost your source doesn't stop the calling the calling is still there in the early days there were a lot of christians who started churches and the churches were raided and all the members killed sometimes the pastors often times the leaders of those um local assemblies you know who often met in secrets you know they were killed too but somebody from that church you know remember something would you know anyone whom elix expect randy or something you know like you you understand the time when apple support was actually hidden in a basket and let's down the wall you know you know so he could escape from a city you know so the ones that escaped still went on and preached and started new fellowships it is not like they said uh look at all the hard work look at the church i say look at if the fellowship has studied it has all um gone they have killed everybody you know so therefore let me give up no they did not they kept on with new fellowships so if you are somebody who you know you have lost um your church because of the lockdown understand where you come from understand the clothes that you are supposed to have been caught from the same cloth of all these people who have been persecuted and are faced with sins so you have to keep on and now perhaps you can now start um recession or more cost effective ways to do things and go into more more than a more um out of the box sense you know you can't stick to the traditional model of churches because you stuck to it and look at where it got you you know the churches that's where online that emphasize on online presence and online membership that was able to build an audience online and maintain it and maintain a um online groups where people are actually participating and growing those are the churches that have an age and showed the age that they had and most of those churches you know who because of that system and they also had ways of still getting money and donations those churches ended up buying up a lot of the buildings of churches that have shut down you know during this lockdown there have been a lot of purchases of churches unfortunately some of those procedures are by people in the world so you can only imagine what they are going to use it for you know so these are things you have to think about these are things that you must keep in mind
