Alfred’s Comments: Response To Lecrae & Tedashii Posting A Video Of The “What To The Slave Is The Fourth of July” By Frederick Douglass And Suggesting Black People Don’t Celebrate The 4th Of July

Tedashii, I love you but you need to jump off this Black Power train that you’ve hopped on.
I see you seem to even be walking away from using the word “Jesus” and are now using the word “Yeshua” like one of those Black Hebrew Israelites.
You are veering away from the faith. Maybe you never where truly in it. Now your version of Christianity is all about Race and Wokeness. Soon your hatred for White people would continue to rise and rise and rise. You slowly but surely turning into the Racist to claim to hate.
Note that true Christians are not allowed to hate people.
Matthew 5:44 KJV:
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
Luke 6:35 KJV:
“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.”
You have departed from sharing the faith to sharing “Woke BLM Propaganda,” and you classify those who point out the division you are bringing into the church as enemies and persecutors. Sad!
You celebrated 4th of July under Obama’s adminstration and every year before that. Weren’t you a Christian then? Wasn’t your skin color then what it is now?
Why has all of a sudden it become important for you to become Anti – American? Why has the 4th of July suddenly become offensive? Why has the the flag suddenly become offensive? Why has statues of Jesus suddenly become offensive because of the skin color of the statue?
You follow the Wokeness of the world. You blow in any direction the waves and winds of the world blow to be popular. Why don’t you stand on the Rock that can’t be moved? Why can’t you stand on a firm Foundation? Why can’t you stand on the word of God? Why can’t you stand on Christ?
Matthew 7:24-25 KJV:
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: [25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”
BTW, The “What To The Slave Is The Fourth of July” was written & given before slavery was abolished.
The speech was delivered in Rochester, New York, on July 5, 1852 by Frederick Douglass.
Clearly written on the National Humanities Center website (AmericaInClass.org);
“In the 1850s abolition was not a widely embraced movement in the United States. It was considered radical, extreme, and dangerous. In “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” Frederick Douglass sought not only to convince people of the wrongfulness of slavery but also to make abolition more acceptable to Northern whites.”
The purpose of the speech was to make abolishing Slavery more acceptable.
How can such a Speech apply to a Black American today?
How can you claim to be in the same boat with the black people who were Slaves in the 1850s.
You have insulted them. You have spat on their graves with such a clam.
How dare you with all the freedom you have in 2020 say that are in the same situation with people who only dreamt of the freedom of choosing for themselves when to wake up and what they do in every waking hour much less own property? How dare you? You have spat on the graves of every Slave that was sold to Americans by Blacks and Arabs, as well as the Slaves who where kidnapped from Africa as well as their descendants. You have spat on all their graves in the name of being woke. All in the name of politics you have spat on all their graves. Shame On You!!!
BTW, In his “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” speech Frederick Douglass praised the founding fathers.
“[The Founding Fathers] were statesmen, patriots and heroes, and for the good they did… I will unite with you to honor their memory.”
Frederick Douglass praised America and didn’t say anyone shouldn’t celebrate the 4th of July, he just pointed out that although American values and ideals are noble. White Americans are not living up to them their treatment of Black people and by not given Black people the same freedoms that White American ideals claim are God given and for all men. Thus;
“You profess to believe, “that, of one blood, God made all nations of men to dwell on the face of all the earth,” and hath commanded all men everywhere to love one another; yet you notoriously hate (and glory in your hatred) all men whose skins are not colored like your own.”
During the speech Douglass said that the United States Constitution is an abolitionist document and not a pro-slavery document. However, White Americans are being Hypocrites by not applying what the Constitution says in the real world and therefore abolishing Slavery. Thus;
” Fellow-citizens! there is no matter in respect to which, the people of the North have allowed themselves to be so ruinously imposed upon, as that of the pro-slavery character of the Constitution. In that instrument I hold there is neither warrant, license, nor sanction of the hateful thing; but, interpreted as it ought to be interpreted, the Constitution is a GLORIOUS LIBERTY DOCUMENT. Read its preamble, consider its purposes. Is slavery among them? Is it at the gateway? or is it in the temple? It is neither.”
The man loved America and the Constitution but he said the Constitution should give the same Rights and Freedoms to all Americans not some.
Therefore he used the Constitution to make his case for the abolishing of Slavery.
The speech made to free men from the chains of Slavery does not apply to men who where never Slaves.
