Just The Two Of Us This Christmas : romantic short stories for married couples
Frank and Jenna had been married for 25 years. Their love for each other burned strong and hot because they weren't into Television. Instead they loved to read books, so the general mass mind - programming that makes people believe that marriages get stale through the years didn't affect them.
They were both Christians and both put Christ first in all that they did.
Now, it was Christmas time and they would be going to their house on the beach with their 3 kids; 2 of whom where in college and one of whom was still a senior in High School.
Frank and Jenna's plan met with the unseen event that their kids wanted to spend Christmas at different places that Christmas.
Their oldest daughter had made arrangements to spend Christmas with her Aunt who was a Pastor in a different city.
Their oldest son said that he wanted to travel to the Holy Land with some friends in his campus fellowship for Christmas. They had already contributed the money at their campus fellowship meetings and he was all set to go.
And their youngest son who was a senior in High School said that he wanted to go to a Christian Christmas camp with some friends.
Frank and Jenna were left with no choice but to go to their house on the beach by themselves and be alone with each other for Christmas.
It had been a long time since they had been alone with each other. They weren't quite sure what to do.
That night they found themselves sitting on lazy boy chairs outside the house and looking up into the beautiful blue sky which was skillfully laced with stars which blinked like diamonds sown on the most royal of robes.
Frank and Jenna talked for hours. They soon found out fun things about each other that they had not known in all their numerous years of marriage.
By the next morning they felt so close to each other that they realized that even though their marriage was great, taking time out to spend time alone with one another made it even greater.
The End.
