hello everybody I'm Alfred and you're listening to Alfred's Bible Club podcast let's open to the Book of Psalms I want to read Psalm chapter 1 I read blessed is the man that WTH not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of Sinners nor seated in the seat of the scornful but his Delight is in the law of the Lord and in his La that he meditate day and nights and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruits in his season his Leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he do it shall prosper the ungodly are not so but are like sha which the Wind Drive it away therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the Judgment not sinners in the congregation of the righteous for the Lord knowth the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly Shall Perish praise God you know this portion of scripture is very powerful and it's so packed with so much that you should structure your life based on a lot of things on this set of scriptures I've read to you in Psalm chapter one you know first of all that's of it saying blessed is the man that W not in the councel of the ungodly nor standed in the way of Sinners nor SE in the seat of the SC that is telling us The Importance of Being called away and being set apart you know evil communication corrupts good manners some people hang out with Sinners and there are people who like to see things like Jesus hung out with Sinners Jesus did not hang out with Sinners Jesus preached to Sinners for you to preach or minister to Sinners you have to be around that sinner you have to be in the presence of that sinner so that the situation there were BRS around in the days of je J is not good to any BR to hangs je you know did not have any you know sh house moments with Sinners he talked to a lot of Sinners he ministered to a lot of them the best way to illustrate it is think about a doctor a medical doctor especially a world Ren one he probably spends more time around his patients than his own children he probably spends more time around his patience more than his own wife but does that mean that he's hanging around patients more than his wife or kids no the relationship between doctor and patient is different that is not hanging out a teacher when a teacher goes to school a teacher can spend you know most spend a lot of time in school with their students teaching their students Maring test SC and all of that handling school activities and then they go home rest and all of that they may spend more time with the students at school than their own children does that mean that they hanging out with the students at school no that is not hanging out that is a teacher student relationship in the same way the relationship that Jesus had with Sinners was a savior and need to be saved relationship it was a preacher and the person that is being preached to relationship there was no time that Jesus just hung out with Sinners you know and the scripture is telling us blessed is the man that W not in the counil of the ungodly not standed in the way of sin standed on in the way of Sinners is the one that referencing that you know you don't you shouldn't hang out with sinner because keep in mind as it is said you know as you know the scripture May evil communication corrupts good maners those that you around influence you the things you watch in spite of what you may say there are some people that may say things like oh is not affecting me there are people who you know have the ner to watch violent movies you ask them do violent movies affect you they say no but if you ask them does it affect people espe when you start question do you think violent movies a bad effects on society and has bad effect on people they say yes blah blah blah but you ask them does violent movies have aad effect on you they no you know they are deceiving themselves what you're around influences you even for that is why Satan likes to attack the church Satan likes to attack preachers Satan likes to attack those who push righteousness or suggest things that are good or positive Satan wants to demonize them that is why we are now living in a world where um when somebody wants to good give good advice they have to start with something like say I don't want to be preacher I don't mean to be preaching you know what does that mean you know the the giving someone good advice giving somebody counseling has now been so demonized it's not like oh you're lecturing oh you know this is something that is so sad but Satan strategically did it that way because he wants anything positive not to Rob off from people because positivity robs on people too if 20% or 30% of the of the channels on television in a world with before the internet let's say 30% of the channels were Christian the population majority of the population will be Christian just from that influence alone because that is what is going out there how do you think Christian societies are built is by putting Christianity in the public space and putting Christian ideology here and there and then it spreads how do you think leftism get to got to be as big as it is leis was created by just a handful of people but it got to be as big is by speaking strategic positions of power and influence and great rich and putting leftist ideology there and then it spread look at the LGBT and all of that it spread from this strategic placements you know someone say the mindset of a classroom in one generation is the mindset of the nation next I believe it was Abraham Lincoln that said that and that is so true now in this day and age if the mindset of the media the news media now the social media plus the schools plus the celebrities what message these people put out what message these different segments Society push push out determines what the culture will look like because is the what people be doing for example let's look at abortion let's say all the famous celebrities the the the Tor Swifts the M&M and the rest of them were against abortion and then the school also the school systems were against abortion and we're saying that abortion is bad then imagine if in addition to that you know the social media the content that was promoted by on social media and by influencers the ones that were giv large boots were the ones that were anti abortion imagine have over a few societies the concept of abortion will be super frown upon and super demonized people will not like abortion so you see in that case that is using this influence for good so all these things can be used for good or evil so things Rob off and this is why you know it is telling us you know don't stand in the way of Sinners you know don't hang around Sinners you know you can preach to Sinners if they don't accept your message you leave them you know every interaction that you have with them is should be based on preacher and the one being preached to don't be passive and hang out like oh can't I be friends with Sinners no you cannot be friends with Sinners first of all how much of a friend are they to you for them not to believe in your Jesus because you surely you have preached to them you have talked to them if they have rejected your Jesus why would they accept you and why do you believe that they have accepted you after rejecting your Jesus you serve Jesus Jesus is your master how can they reject your master but accept you so what kind of relationship is that no you cannot have friends with Sinners you cannot be friends with Sinners you can preach to them they want if they want to be friends with you they should accept Jesus first they should accept what you are saying they should accept what they believe this does not mean that should not be cordial or friendly with them you can be cordal and friendly with them you can be nice to them you can be all that positive happy but being a friend to someone is something else you know they are not your friend and you you have to know how to draw lines they they they can't walk into that area of being friends you you and them are not friends you know because you don't want them to influence you and this the same reason why God did not want the Jews to marry outside of the Jews in the Old Testament because he said that they will turn your hearts me against me and turn you to their God and that is what kept happening every time that a king a Jewish King did that you know anytime they went and married outside the Jews you know they ended up taking on and you know being influenced and believing and sacrificing making sacrifices to other gods and abandoning you know the god of Israel whether briefly or you know for a very long time you know so that is what kept happening you have to understand that these associations work you know these associations you know influence um you now the part of do not work in the counsel of the ungodly some people are unfortunate they go to psychiatrists they go to therapists for advice what happened to pastors why can't you go to a pastor for advice why can't you go to your parents for advice and you know to take it back to pastors you mean to tell me that there's no Elder in the church there's no Pastor in the church that can give you advice that you can trust that you can talk to you mean to tell me that you cannot talk to your pastor about confidential things that they will give you advice based on the word of God give you a way out of whatever you're going through based on the word of God you need to go to a therapist when you go to a therapist you're working in the coun of the ungodly it doesn't matter how smart the world says that they are are they ordained by God to give advice no the pastor is so why will you ignore God God's way of doing things and do things the world way now there are people who say things like well they are Christian therapists a Christian therapist what advice are they giving you are they giving you advice based on the Bible or based on the psychology they learned in school they are giving you advice based on the psychology they learned in school which is worldly and ungodly which is not based on the Bible a Christian therapist a So-Cal Christian therapist who gives you advice based on the Bible it's violating the law they are not honoring the degree that they got and they actually breaking the law because they should the the position they are in you know based on it's just like a medical doctor a medical doctor has certain responsibilities that if they violate they will lose their medical license in the same way a therapist has to abide by you know what he learns in school the psychology from the world he cannot be giving you advice or she cannot be giv advice based on the Bible and if a therapist were to give you advice based on the Bible the therapist will direct you to the pastor not be giving you the advice yourself herself for himself say you should have a pastor that should talk to you about these things you know you need advice you need counseling from the world that is where you should go unfortunately we have a lot of people who work in the castle of the ungodly you know people who listen to celebrities also and TV talk shows you know the world a lot of things have been ruined by magazines especially back in the day in the 80s and 90s before the internet was big you know when magazines were 18 a lot of the advice on dating and relationship that have destroyed many women and have created a lot of single old women and you know pushed a lot of feminist foolishness and led to the destruction a lot of marriages a lot of it came from stupid advice in magazines ungodly advice you know when people ve away from the word of God that is what happens you know and when it says also um in the last part of verse one of Psalm one not seated in the seat of the SC you shouldn't be among those who mock others don't make fun of others don't you know when someone fall you know don't be happy even if they are your enemy or they declare to be your enemy you know don't Rejoice at the fall of your quote unquote enemy you know there's a scripture that actually say something along the or else God will see it and then stop punishing them or or you know um you know turn things around you know so you have to have the mindset of understanding that God wants you to love vengeance is M says the Lord you know in this new testament God wants your hands clean he wants holy if anybody messes with you he will mess with them himself you your own is to focus on the word of God focus on doing the work of God winning Souls reaching the lost and loving people those who come against you you know are coming against God and God will handle them you know but um to go deeper into that is a topic for another day let's um go on you know to the next verse of Psalm one but his Delight is in the law of the Lord and in his La does he meditate day and night you see this is giving you advice you know remember that in book of joshua8 it says that you know meditate on the word of God day and night you know that he needs you to make your way prosperous and you have good success you know when you meditate on the word of God that is the key and this shows you also there a lot of people who like to complain and say and prosperity go with Prosperity Gospel the gospel the gospel is a message of prosperity and prosperity is all around it doesn't just mean Financial But it includes Financial you cannot exempt the financial from it you cannot be poor and say you are living an abundant life from God God is so rich it is it does not take anything for him to make you rich as well it doesn't take anything from God you know so understand the scripture is telling you that if you Delight in the LA of the Lord you know now this is this is the Old Testament more so now we have the word of God the word of God even more so will make you even more more much more prosperous so meditate on the word of God day and night Delight in it you know some people read it as a tradition some people read it as a responsibility oh I need to read five scriptures there I need to write five chapters there I need to read for 30 minutes 1 hours I need to dedicate you know so it it has become they have missed out on the spirituality the they sorry they have missed out on the relationship part of it they have reached out on the light of it it is now a show you know it is now a task that they must accomplish it is no longer something that they to do it's no longer a joy for them to do so saying Delight in the Lord this only applies the prosperity will come when it is actually your Delight so you read to do you study the word of God so your until your life is cved and shied by the word of God you know and when you do that it is God's word that will be guiding your actions your choices and your movements and you walk in a different LM of wisdom and you will see yourself advancing and accomplishing things when other people are experiencing hard times and tough times you'll be prospering you know it is God's will for you to prosper and it's telling you that this is a law this is what the Bible is telling you that if you the light in the word of God and you meditate on it day and night you know that means it's guiding it it is it is the filter in your brain you meditate on it and digest it until it become the filter in your brain that governs every thought that you think so it controls and guides how you think and how you act and how you behave so when God's word gets a hold of your mind like that you can only be prosperous it's only a matter of time you know so shame on all those who are against prosperity and think that Christian Prosper God doesn't want you to be prosper and like oh you know there lot of people who like to go on the internet and say things like ah God want everybody Rich know that that the gospel doesn't mean that God will make everybody Rich the Bible is telling you that if you have the gospel in you if the gospel takes over your mind you will be rich this is it he's there you know but his Delight is in the law of the Lord and on this law does he meditate day and night you know and it says it goes even further to say he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruits in his season his Le also shall not with and whatever he do shall prosper so it's tell anything put hand to do shall prosper not just that when other people are going through difficulty you'll be prospering you see you see he said and he shall be like a tree panted by the river of water that bring forth his fruits in his season so whether it is dry season or rainy season whether it is a tough economy or a good economy you will be like a three pred by the rivers so whether there's inflation or there's no inflation you'll be like a tree that is planted by the rivers whether there's starvation and fine or not you'll be like a tree that is planted by the rivers of water so you will keep on prospering you are isolated from the economy and from the outside world because your source is God you are joined to God why only because you have made the word of God take over your mind you meditate on the word of God day and night and also remember verse one you do not walk in the counil of the ungodly you do not listen to the ungodly you do not hang around Sinners you do not let Sinners influence you so you have you are kind of like on a on a mental diet you have shut off EV communication with the world you have shut off bad advice you have shut off words from that are not of God and you only meditate on the word of God so your mind is only filled with and is only guided with the word of God the word of God is what is dominant in your mind the only thing you are accepting into your head is things that have been filtered by the word of God things that are proved by the word of God ideologies that are of the word of God and you do not give an opportunity for Satan's words or advice or counsel to prosper and get get to your heart or get to your mind and you know have any influence on how you act on your character you know so when you do this that is when you shall be like a tree that is planted by rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruits in his season his also shall not with and whatever he do shall prosper so it doesn't matter whatever you do whatever kind of business that you do anything you put your hand to do you prosper you know there's a story about the hand of Ms about somebody who is it's um mythical story about some who anything he TCH turn to Gold you know he asks the Gods believe something along that nature and that is what they gave him but unfortunately it turned out wrong because he wants he he wanted to touch his daughter and his daughter turned into a go a gold figure so the lesson there was you know um along the line of you know what really matters you know and all of that so but that is a topic for another day but in this case this is the word of God telling you about anything you put your hand to do will prosper you know it is not going to physically turn to good but it is going to turn into a fruitful business that will produce gold know so the right way the way that does not um result in when you touch your daughter she turns into a statue of God you know kind of things so um this is a spiritual blessing this is something that God is telling you you know so um it's amazing how so many things in the world of God goes against those who hate prosperity and think Prosperity is not for the church or for the Christian you know so the Bible is actually telling you that if you're not prosperous if you you have been a Christian for a while and you are not prosperous it means that you are not working you are not working in the Council of The Godly alone you know you have not Exempted yourself from the world in the sense of the ideology you still you have not put yourself in a position where you don't work in the Council of the of the ungodly you don't stand in the way of Sinners you do not sit in the seat of the SC and this is showing also that there's a c against those who make fun of others do not sit in the seat of the you know a cost that will make you un prosperous a cost that works against Prosperity so if you don't make fun of others you do not have around Sinners you do not walk in the councel of the ungodly and then you Delight in the word of God and meditate on it day and night if you do that and you have done that for a while you will be prosperous if you are not prosperous it means that the Bible is wrong that is what it's saying if you if you are not prosperous and you've been doing these things it means that the Bible is wrong so you see the Bible is telling you if you obey God and you walk in obedience with God and keep these things that he's telling you to do you will be prosperous any single thing you do it's not just that it does not stop at like you will have money in your bank account any any new thing that you involve yourself in will prosper if you join a company tomorrow it prospers if you join another company NeXT tomorrow it prospers every single thing you start a new company you start a new project it will prosper if the word of God is your Delight you meditate on it day and night and you have cut off all the voices of the world you do not let them influence you you know so that is what the scripture is telling you you know so um anybody that tells you otherwise does not believe in the scriptures and is trying to say that they are wiser than God then goes on to tell the scriptures go on to say from four the ungodly are not so better like the Sha which the Wind Drive it away therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the Judgment nor siners in the congregation of the righteous for the Lord know the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly Shall Perish so you see the ungodly even though temporary they may seem like they going they're making money and they getting richer at the end of the day they will perish even if by chance the pr Adventure still have a lot of their money before they leave this earth they are still heading towards hell because they are ungodly they unrighteous so they still perish but many of them even before they leave this they lose their money or they live their life in such a way where you open one door the son is blind you open another door the daughter have this sickness you open another door the uncle have this disease and that is money going money going they have all kinds of problems that you who chose to walk in righteousness do not have life is spiritual so these things you know take place you know what a man swe that shall he also reap you know Sinners suffer the consequences of their action in this world and Hereafter when they stand in the day of judgment they will really suffer the big the big one the consequences of their action and the choices they made so that being said make sure check out operate.
